MACFARLANE Packaging has named sheet feeder Board 24 as the winner of its Supplier of the Year accolade for 2024.

In a change this year, Macfarlane also introduced three new categories, which are all voted on by employees across the business. The new categories are Regional Supplier of the Year – two awards for North and South regions; International Supplier of the Year; and Outstanding Individual.

Macfarlane has over 1,700 suppliers working with the business in the UK and internationally and the awards are designed to recognise and acknowledge exceptional performance.

Kenross, a family-run manufacturer of corrugated cardboard cartons based in Lancashire was named Regional Supplier of the Year: North. Manor Packaging, a bespoke corrugated cardboard boxes and packaging business based in Peterborough took the same prize for the south of the country.

The International Supplier of the Year award went to Kara Fiber, a Turkish company that specialises in producing Lyocell fibres and other packaging materials, with a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Paul Welsh, sales manager at Boxes and Packaging, was named Outstanding Individual. The firm provides corrugated and cardboard packaging solutions from its Swindon base.

David Mansfield, MD of Macfarlane Packaging, said, “We congratulate all the winners of our supplier awards. We work with an extensive supplier base across our business and we want to recognise our strategic partners who provide high levels of service, innovation and support.

“We have expanded the awards this year from one to four categories including an outstanding individual award. The winners are chosen by teams from across the Macfarlane business. The winners have been recognised for their collaboration and quality of customer service, knowledge and responsiveness.”
