ESKO has introduced a new tool designed to help brands successfully meet packaging compliance standards.
Esko Comply offers an automated way to validate components of product packaging and promotional materials, using customisable rules and AI to check labels and packaging for missing allergens, incorrect barcodes, FDA formatting violations, and other potential errors.
“With this new innovation, we are complementing our existing preflight tools and bringing additional quality assurance validation to our customers’ workflows,” said Esko CMO Jan De Roeck. “Ensuring artwork compliance has traditionally been a time-consuming and error-prone process, involving multiple rounds of manual reviews and approvals. With this latest solution, we’re transforming compliance from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage by helping teams identify and address issues early and move faster with confidence.”
Designed with input from compliance officers, brand managers, and creative teams, Esko Comply aims to ensure artwork meets internal and external standards without disrupting creative workflows.
Capabilities include automated compliance checks, custom rule configuration, audit trail and reporting, collaborative review tools, and automated image measurement.
“At a time when brands and their labels and packaging suppliers are under increasing pressure to accelerate production cycles while meeting strict regulatory requirements, Esko Comply enables businesses to automate the process with a smart system that delivers enhanced collaboration, shared insights and files and ensures across-the-board compliance with common rules,” Jan added. “As well as streamlining the review and approval process to accelerate the go-to-market of printed packaging, Esko Comply helps eliminate product recalls and reduce the risk of costly reprints.”
Available to the pre-release community ahead of wide release in November 2025, Esko Comply was presented to an audience of more than 500 packaging and labels converters, brand representatives and packaging experts as part of Esko World 2025 this week.
