Xaar celebrates fundraising milestone for charity partner

Xaar team celebrate charity milestone

INKJET technology specialist Xaar has announced it has surpassed £100,000 of donations for its charity partner, Break.

The milestone highlights the dedication of Xaar Group employees, who have collectively raised £50,000 through various fundraising activities, with the company match-funding their efforts.

Since 2022, employees across Xaar and Megnajet have embraced a host of initiatives to support Break, from running the London and Cambridge Half Marathons, completing the Three Peaks Challenge and even taking part in a skydive. Bake sales, charity golf days and sweepstakes have also contributed to the total.

The funds will help Break to provide support for young people growing up in care, helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to transition into independent living. The charity’s work includes offering safe and supportive homes, therapeutic services and life-changing opportunities.

The partnership sits under Xaar’s ‘Community’ pillar within its ESG Roadmap.

Rachel Cowdry, CEO at Break, said, “The impact of Xaar’s support has been incredible. Their fundraising efforts and the generosity of their employees have helped us to continue our vital work in supporting young people living in care and moving on from care We are delighted that our partnership will continue for another year and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together next.”

Graham Tweedale, chief operating officer at Xaar, added, “We are immensely proud of our partnership with Break and the difference we have been able to make so far. Reaching £100,000 is a fantastic achievement and it’s all down to the dedication and enthusiasm of our employees. With another year of fundraising ahead, we’re looking forward to continuing to support Break and making a real difference in our local communities.”
