Redesigned kraft baguette boxes offer increased visibility

COLPAC has announced the evolution of its redesigned kraft baguette box.

Described as ‘perfectly suited’ to artisanal cafes and delis, higher-end contract caterers and sandwich manufacturers, the updated solution offers increased visibility and better showcases food products through an over-edge window.

Colpac added that the new baguette boxes are quick to construct, streamlining the packing process. The packs can also be formed and filled more easily, with a crash lock base at one end and tuck closure at the other.

The box has been lightweighted by creating a design which utilises less material, allowing more units per tonne. The new packs are also delivered flat which enables larger case counts and increased pallet quantities.

“We understand the pressures foodservice businesses face to balance sustainability, efficiency, and cost,” said Colpac MD Andrew Grimbaldeston. “Our new kraft baguette box offers our customers a value-added solution with lower operational demands and increased EPR efficiency, all at a lower cost.”

Manufactured from FSC-certified paperboard at Colpac’s UK factory, the boxes contain recycled material and are described as ‘widely recyclable’ within the UK’s recycling system, meaning the packaging is categorised as ‘green’ in the UK’s new Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM).
