BERRY Global has revealed it is expanding its industrial packaging capabilities with the installation of two new stretch hood film production lines at its factories in Steinfeld, Germany, and Zdzieszowice, Poland.

The aim is to meet increasing customer interest in pallet protection solutions with improved environmental profiles. Berry said the new lines will enhance its ability to deliver high-performance pallet stabilisation solutions.

Requiring no heat during application, stretch hood films eliminate the need for energy-intensive shrink tunnels, and can be manufactured with varying levels of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. The recycled plastic content used by Berry is third-party certified to RecyClass standards.

“We continue to see strong demand for safe, efficient, and reliable pallet stabilisation solutions,” said Daniel Stauber, sales director at Berry Global. “At the same time, customers are increasingly focused on sustainability commitments.

“Berry is committed to supporting these priorities through strategic investments that enhance our service offering while meeting evolving market needs. Our stretch hood range not only provides excellent load stability and protection during transportation but also supports sustainability goals through reduced material usage and the ability to incorporate PCR content.”
