THE BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics has hailed a ‘highly successful’ first quarter of 2025, marked by industry endorsement of its #outsourcingis campaign.

Launched at Packaging Innovations & Empack, the #outsourcingis campaign has captured attention by showcasing how outsourcing helps brands, retailers, and startups bring their products to market efficiently, while allowing them to focus on core operations and scale quickly.

The BCMPA revealed the initiative has generated a ‘surge’ in social media engagement, sparked discussion, and received positive testimonials. Its impact has been further strengthened by success stories from BCMPA members, shared through video interviews.

The mission received a boost on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, with investor and entrepreneur Peter Jones endorsing co-packing as the future of production. Peter advised contestants to shift away from in-house production and embrace outsourcing – a message that directly aligns with the #outsourcingis campaign’s core objective.

“This validation from Peter Jones is a game-changer,” said Emma Verkaik, CEO of the BCMPA. “His endorsement on a national platform highlights what we’ve always championed – that outsourcing is not just a convenience, but a necessity for sustainable business growth.”

The BCMPA marked its largest-ever presence at Packaging Innovations & Empack. With over 20 BCMPA members exhibiting in the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Zone, the event featured live demonstrations, panels, and networking opportunities. Emma Verkaik presented at the 2025 Future Trailblazers Awards and hosted a chat on ‘Scaling Without the Stress: How Outsourced Fulfilment Drives Business Growth’.

The BCMPA’s next major exhibition is at CHEMUK on May 21 & 22, at the NEC, where the focus will shift to outsourcing solutions for the chemical industry.

“The success of the #outsourcingis campaign highlights the growing recognition of the vital role our industry plays in modern business strategy,” Emma Verkaik added. “During economic uncertainty, third-party solutions are increasingly seen as the preferred approach. As the BCMPA expands its reach and influence, it remains committed to driving industry-wide collaboration helping more companies unlock the benefits of outsourcing.”
