AMCOR has announced the European launch of Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches for bulk foodservice products.
The mono-material innovation offers brands flexible packaging that is designed to be recyclable in practice in European countries where Polyethylene (PE) streams are in place.
Described as more efficient for storage and transportation, Amcor claimed Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches take up only a fraction of the storage space before filling compared to traditional canned packaging, and pack tighter than cans when filled. The pouch is suited to bulk products from dressings and sauces to frozen vegetables and protein.
Giorgio Dini, marketing manager, culinary, Amcor Flexibles Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “The launch of Liquiflex® AmPrima® pouches in Europe – following a successful launch in North America – sets as new standard in foodservice packaging that is cost-effective and convenient. This marks an exciting milestone, not just for Amcor but for the wider culinary industry. Liquiflex® AmPrima® meets the technical needs of catering environments, with the advantage of recycle-readiness.”
