PACKAGING provider Sidel has announced its Octeville site in France has been awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis following a review of its supply chain strategy at both local and corporate-group level.
Sidel was also positioned in the top 5% of reporting companies in 2024 by the sustainability assessor, highlighting the firm’s commitment to sustainability practices and transparency.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for our EcoVadis reporting,” said Francesca Bellucci, VP strategy and sustainability. “This is a remarkable achievement that reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability, ethics, and responsible business practices.”
Sidel partnered with EcoVadis in 2017 to assess and improve its environmental, social, and ethical performance. EcoVadis evaluates businesses across four key categories: environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices.
“The evaluation was both rigorous and extensive, demanding significant collaboration and commitment from our teams,” added Armelle Biton, HSE business partner, Sidel. “It encompassed the Sidel Octeville site and corporate-level assessments, adding complexity to the process and making the final recognition all the more rewarding.”
