ALUMINIUM tray manufacturer i2r Packaging Solutions has confirmed co-founder and CEO Peter Reay is stepping down after 17 years in the role.

Under his leadership, the company has pioneered sustainable innovations and received multiple Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in both innovation and international trade.

Today, i2r manufactures over 1.2 billion products annually, supplies many food producers and retail brands, as well as to wholesaler and distributor markets worldwide, including central and northern Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Australia.

A strong advocate for training and development, Peter has played a key role in fostering talent within the company and to honour his legacy, i2r has created a dedicated training suite in his name.

Speaking about his departure, Peter said, “Leading i2r has been an incredible journey and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. I want to thank our team, customers and partners for their support over the years. I leave knowing the company is in great hands and well-positioned for the future.”

Co-founder Jon West added, “From the very beginning, Peter’s vision, drive and commitment have been the foundation of i2r’s success. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company into the force it is today. It’s been a privilege to work alongside him and I know his influence will continue to be felt for many years to come. On behalf of the entire team, I’d like to thank Peter for his dedication and wish him every success and happiness in the future.”
