Bottlemakers Award trophy

FOLLOWING a record number of entries in 2024, the Worshipful Company of Horners and the British Plastics Federation are now seeking nominations for the 2025 BPF Horners Awards.

The awards highlight the top innovations in plastic manufacturing and processes developed in the UK.

Three different awards are available: the Innovation & Design Award (any innovation that contains/relates to a polymer); Bottlemakers Award For Plastic Packaging (a polymer-based package with a closure); and the David Williams Award (open to products/services that make an outstanding contribution to society).

Winners will receive a Horners Trophy, a certificate, and an invitation to the Horners Annual Banquet at Mansion House.

BPF membership services director Stephen Hunt said, “Every year these awards highlight the best in plastics innovation from across the UK, showing how the plastics industry is constantly evolving, while making an undeniable contribution to society across a huge range of sectors. Each year I am amazed at the sheer breadth of talent we see.”

Stefaan Simons, chairman of the Horners Award Committee, added, “Whether you are an established moulder developing new technology or products, or a younger business or entrepreneur, the BPF Horners Awards have a category that will suit almost any genuine innovation in plastics. If you feel your product or process deserves recognition as a smart application of technology, entering is quick and easy, so be sure you don’t miss out on the chance to win one of these highly coveted awards.”
