Berry to highlight mechanical recycling innovation at PRSE 2O25

Berry Circular Polymers Plant

BERRY Global will highlight its mechanical recycling capabilities, including its award-winning CleanStream closed-loop recycling system at this year’s Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE), which takes place at the RAI Amsterdam next week.

The CleanStream system is described as a ‘first-of-its-kind’ technology that mechanically recycles household polypropylene (PP) waste into high-purity recycled material for use in certain contact-sensitive applications, helping keep valuable plastic resources in circulation and reducing landfill dependency.

Berry will also share insights into how designing for recyclability and incorporating high-quality recycled content can help brands reduce their reliance on virgin plastics while meeting evolving regulatory and consumer expectations.

The company’s Sustane range, which includes a portfolio of films and packaging solutions containing certified recycled content of varying levels, demonstrates how recycled plastics can offer performance ‘comparable to virgin materials’. Additionally, Berry’s Omni Xtra+ PE Cling Film has been developed as a recyclable alternative to traditional PVC cling film, where appropriate recycling facilities are available.

CleanStream, Omni Xtra+, and the Exclusive Stick Refill for personal care applications have all been shortlisted for the PRSE Awards.
