PRINTED folding carton manufacturer FACER has announced it has entered the Packaging Innovations & Empack Innovation Gallery again this year.
The firm achieved a debut Top 10 position at last year’s event with its plastic-free blister pack created in collaboration with Mitsubishi Pencil Company UK for its Uni-Ball brand.
This year, the Leeds-based company has entered its own-brand plastic-free solution for pen packaging. The all-paper pack remains a heat-seal solution that is said to utilise the same packing processes and machinery of conventional blister packs, whilst retaining the benefits of this long-established packaging solution.
The specially designed mono-material packaging solution is described as completely recyclable.
FACER is exhibiting for the second time at Packaging Innovations & Empack in Birmingham next month and will also showcase an alternative to the plastic-free blister pack. The business has combined a conventional tuck end folding carton with an extended back panel. This will be exhibited alongside a variety of client packaging and folding cartons produced with alternative sustainable materials.
