ECO Flexibles has announced it has secured grade AA certification in the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Safety Standard audit.

The firm said the certification strengthens its position as an end-to-end partner in the food packaging supply chain. The process examines over 300 operational points including hygiene protocols, quality control, safety standards and production efficiency.

The accomplishment comes during a period of growth for Eco Flexibles, which has recently expanded its production facility and enhanced its capabilities with dual Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 digital press installations and Karlville Swiss pouching machines.

The food safety certification complements the company’s existing BRC packaging certifications, where it has maintained Grade AA status for three consecutive years.

General manager David Smith said, “Securing BRC Grade AA certification for food safety is another a significant milestone in our journey. As we continue to grow and evolve our business, it shows how we’re maintaining the highest possible standards across every single aspect of our operations.

“In an industry where quality and consistency are vital, this recognition shows we’re delivering excellence at every level. While our focus is on revolutionising the flexible packaging market through sustainable innovation, this certification proves we match this with exemplary operational standards. It’s a powerful combination that enables us to serve as a true end-to-end partner for our food industry brand customers.”
