THE BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – is set to launch a new outsourcing campaign to mark the organisation’s 25th anniversary.
Set to be unveiled at next month’s Packaging Innovations & Empack show in Birmingham, the #outsourcingis initiative aims to define the value of outsourcing, demonstrating how BCMPA members can support brands and retailers with ‘enhanced operational efficiency’.
“Many businesses may not fully understand the transformative benefits of outsourcing or what it truly involves when applied to contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment and logistics,” said Emma Verkaik, CEO of the BCMPA. “This campaign aims to bridge that gap, showcasing outsourcing as a strategic advantage that drives growth and encourages collaboration between brands and third-party providers to take their products to market.”
The campaign will feature insights and video vox-pops from BCMPA members, offering an in-depth look at the range of outsourcing services available across sectors such as food and drink, personal care, nutraceuticals, household, chemicals, e-commerce, fulfilment, and pharmaceuticals. A dedicated social media handle will be provided to encourage engagement from members and a wider audience.
The BCMPA hospitality stand, located in the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Zone of Packaging Innovations & Empack, at the NEC, Birmingham, will provide attendees with guidance on selecting the right outsourcing partners. Visitors can meet nearly 20 exhibiting members face-to-face and take part in live demonstrations of the association’s online search platform.
Emma Verkaik will also be taking part in two events as part of the conference programme. On Wednesday, 12th February at 13.45, she will help present the prizes to the winners of the 2025 Future Trailblazers Awards on the Circular Economy Stage. And on Thursday, 13th February at 12:45 she will be on the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Stage, hosting a discussion titled ‘Scaling Without the Stress: How Outsourced Fulfilment Drives Business Growth‘ with Laura Ball of the PHL Group and Rob Smith, co-founder of Arrowtown Drinks.
“As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re excited to highlight how outsourcing remains a key driver of innovation and efficiency in the industry, and we look forward to showcasing the value it brings to businesses at the Contract Pack & Fulfilment Show,” Emma added.
