THE BCMPA has introduced a new category of membership, as it invites organisations that provide goods, services and advice to the manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics sectors to collaborate with the UK’s outsourcing industry.
The BCMPA Associate Membership programme aims to offer businesses the opportunity to enhance their visibility within the association’s network of over 200 contract packers, manufacturers, e-commerce and fulfilment houses. Those joining will be able to attend BCMPA events, conduct webinars, connect with industry professionals, share insights, and explore potential business collaborations.
Emma Verkaik, CEO of the BCMPA, explained, “In our 2023 membership survey over 76% of members responded that they would like to see the introduction of an Associate Member scheme, and benefit from receiving advice and market intelligence. The launch of our new Associate Membership programme will help forge meaningful connections within the industry. By providing a platform where companies can exchange best practices and stay informed, we will ultimately contribute to the continuing progress and development of the contract manufacturing and packing sectors.”
Associate members will receive a profile listing on the BCMPA website, showcasing their services and expertise in areas such as software solutions, packaging, machinery, legal, regulatory issues and sustainability. New associate members can also promote their activities through the BCMPA’s newsletters and social media channels, and have the chance to host an annual webinar, providing BCMPA members with insights on relevant topics.
Emma Verkaik added, “Effective collaborations across the sector not only benefit individual businesses, but as an industry, give us the opportunity to continue highlighting the invaluable role outsourcing plays to retailers, brands and entrepreneurs across the UK and beyond.”
