PLASTICS raw materials distributor Plastribution has announced plans for major changes to the firm’s senior leadership team.
Current commercial director Katherine White will become MD, succeeding Mike Boswell, who will transition to the role of executive chairman.
The move, which takes effect in April 2025, has been hailed as reflecting Plastribution’s ‘proactive approach’ to leadership succession.
Under Mike Boswell’s stewardship, the firm has grown from a £15 million enterprise with 16 employees into a £100 million business employing nearly 100 staff. As executive chairman, he will shift his focus towards providing strategic leadership, mentoring Katherine in her new role and overseeing key projects.
“After nearly 25 years as managing director, this is a natural step in Plastribution’s evolution,” he stated. “I have total confidence in Katherine’s ability to lead the business into its next exciting chapter. Her strategic insight, industry knowledge and leadership qualities make her ideal for this role.”
Katherine White has been with the company for 29 years, and has been described as ‘integral’ in driving Plastribution’s commercial success, particularly in navigating recent industry challenges and identifying new growth opportunities.
“It is a privilege to be appointed managing director of Plastribution,” she said. “Building on the strong foundation laid by Mike, I aim to ensure we remain agile, innovative and customer-focused. I look forward to working closely with the senior leadership team to drive forward our strategic objectives and deliver value to all our stakeholders.”
