FLAT wine bottle specialist Packamama has received the Recycled Content Award at the 2024 Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) Annual Awards.

The firm said the accolade underscores its dedication to sustainable packaging solutions, particularly through the use of 100% Australian recycled PET.

Packamama’s eco-flat wine bottles are made entirely from Australian recycled PET, sourced from Visy’s Smithfield recycling facility in NSW.

The Recycled Content Award category featured huge names including Amcor, Diageo, and Henkel.

Alex Adda, sales & sustainability manager at Packamama, said, “Receiving the Recycled Content Award from APCO is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of packaging design to create solutions that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible. This recognition motivates us to continue leading the charge towards a more sustainable future for the packaging industry.”
