MONDI has announced it has switched more than 95% of its range of release liners and extrusion solutions to PEFC and FSC-certified base paper sources.
The move has been described as a further step towards ‘responsible sourcing and transparency’ in the supply chain. The use of certified paper sources supports traceability and sourcing from forests that are managed responsibly.
Jurgen Van der Donck, sales and business development director for functional paper and films at Mondi, said, “As part of our MAP2030 goals, we are committed to circular driven packaging and paper solutions and taking action on climate change. Offering a product portfolio made from certified paper is part of this commitment.
“This step helps us to improve our range of release liners and extrusion solutions, such as our FunctionalBarrier Paper range, while providing the best possible solutions for our customers and end users.”
