JAMES Jones & Sons (Pallets & Packaging) has announced it has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, an honour that places the company among the top 1% of businesses globally for sustainability performance.

The recognition underscores the company’s ‘exemplary’ sustainability management practices and commitment to transparency and ethical conduct across the value chain.

The EcoVadis Platinum Medal is awarded to companies that excel in assessments across multiple sustainability criteria, including environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. James Jones & Sons revealed it particularly stood out in environmental management, labour and human rights, earning the highest accolade in the EcoVadis review.

“We are incredibly proud to be the first and only pallet and packaging business in the UK to receive Platinum status from EcoVadis,” said Peter McKenzie, MD of James Jones & Sons Pallets & Packaging Division. “Our long-standing commitment to environmental practices and innovation is a core part of who we are, and we invest significantly each year in these areas.

“As a responsible employer, we also take pride in offering long-term, rewarding employment across all our UK sites. Being recognised by such a respected, independent organisation is an honour and reinforces our reputation for sustainable excellence.

“Receiving the Platinum Medal not only reflects our commitment to sustainability but aligns perfectly with the expectations of our blue-chip customer portfolio. Many of our clients, who are leaders in their respective industries, require the highest standards of environmental and ethical practices from their partners. This recognition strengthens our position as a trusted supplier to these leading global companies.”
