ORGANISERS of London Packaging Week, Easyfairs, has announced an array of last-minute additions to the event’s conference programme.
Representatives from Diageo, Kellanova, Pernod Ricard, Néstle, Pizza Express, The National Gallery, Amazon, Adobe Live, and Twinings will join the more than 50 experts already lined up to speak across two days, offering insights on three specialised stages.
‘Decoding the Mind: Measuring the Impact of Design on Consumer Behaviour’ will explore how packaging influences purchasing decisions in the food and consumer goods sectors. Iain Amos (Twinings), Leo Hadden (BrandOpus), Thom Noble (Cloud Army), and Tim Sykes (Packaging Europe) will share insights from consumer neuroscience, revealing the psychological triggers that shape perceptions and choices.
The ‘Conscious Consumerism: Inclusive Packaging Designed for Everyone’ session delves into the trend of inclusive packaging, which goes beyond aesthetics and functionality to embrace social responsibility and represent diverse demographics. Experts, including Marc Powell from Unilever, Stefan Casey from Nestlé, Lucy Burgess from design agency Touch, and Katie Roselaar from ThePackHub, will participate in a discussion moderated by Waqas Qureshi of Packaging News.
Another featured session, ‘Beyond Conventional: Unlocking Innovation for Beauty and Beverages’ will explore strategies for cultivating organisations that excel in market disruption. The session will feature William Connolly (Diageo), Lena Danielsson (Pernod Ricard), Lauren McKenzie (SA Designer Parfums), and Tanguy Pellen (Skarbek).

The session titled ‘Connected Packaging: Revolutionizing Consumer Engagement Now’ will feature Steve Wardle, senior manager of packaging & artwork at Kellanova, and Jenny Stanley, founder and MD at Appetite Creative. They will discuss how connected packaging is transforming consumer engagement.
Design platform and community for packaging design, Pentawards, will power some of the conferences, with a particular focus on how design and branding will continue to evolve. Design Bridge and Partners, alongside Diageo, will share their plans to redefine luxury packaging for iconic British brands.
Further discussions will focus on the importance of inclusivity in design, and future approaches to packaging for The National Gallery and the revitalisation of PizzaExpress’s chilled pizza brand. Elsewhere, consultant dermatologist and Joonbyrd founder Dr. Alexis Granite will participate in the ‘Brands to Watch: Businesses Blowing Up in 2025’ session alongside Noah Bier, founder & CCO at Makers Cabinet, and Amir Gehl, founder at Difference Coffee.
London Packaging Week 2024 will take place on 11 & 12 September in halls S5 and S6 of ExCeL.
