SABERT Europe has announced the launch of Hot2Go – a recyclable, free from plastic lamination packaging solution for all hot food on the go.
Described as leak and grease-resistant, with ‘excellent’ insulation properties, Hot2Go is made with FSC-certified and fully recyclable micro-fluted paperboard. The design features secure closure with integrated tabs and is available either without window or with a high-clarity film window made from recyclable rPET, with a guaranteed minimum 30% recycled content.
“We first introduced Hot2Go as a prototype at the annual Packaging Innovations show at the NEC in February – to ascertain market interest,” said Sabert’s UK&I MD and European commercial director, Alex Noake. “The response was overwhelming, so we immediately moved to the next stage of development.
“Fully recyclable, multifunctional, and entirely free from plastic lamination, the Hot2Go range is microwavable, conventional ovenable, stackable and nestable. Hot2Go offers unrivalled performance for hot food to go, and is also refrigerator and freezer-friendly.”
The Hot2Go range is available in four different off-the-shelf sizes: 500ml, 750ml, 1000ml and 1200ml. Tailored solutions are also possible.
“Hot2Go offers a versatile, practical, and dependable packaging solution for all hot food on the go,” Alex Noake added. “It is ideal for hot quick service food operators, retail and supermarket hot food grab and go cabinets, while also perfect for café and bakery takeaway and counter service.
“True to our slogan: ‘Sabert makes food look great’, Hot2Go delivers immediate stand-out shelf presence with excellent product visibility.”
