RAJA Group, a distributor of packaging, office supplies and industrial equipment, has entered into exclusive negotiations with Verdoso for the acquisition of Retif, a French distributor specialising in equipment and supplies for retail stores.
Retif reported profitable revenue of €121 million in 2023 and employs 460 people. Based in Nice, the business makes most of its revenue through 88 shops in Europe, 66 of which are in mainland France, 15 in Spain, five in Belgium, one in Luxembourg and one in the Netherlands. It also operates e-commerce websites in all its markets. Retif has a distribution centre in Valence, in the south of France.
The transaction is subject to the approval of the competition authorities. Completion is expected in October 2024.
