METAL Packaging Europe (MPE) has announced the appointment of two new vice
presidents following its AGM and conference in Amsterdam.
They are Dr Mandy Glew of Ball Corporation and JehanZeb Noor of Trivium Packaging, who bring extensive expertise to the MPE leadership team, marking progress in the organisation’s efforts to champion the benefits of rigid metal packaging.
The MPE conference and AGM gathered experts and industry leaders from Europe and beyond to explore the future of rigid metal packaging. Krassimira Kazashka, CEO of MPE, said, “This event provided an opportunity to reflect on MPE’s achievements and discuss the challenges and opportunities to position rigid metal packaging as the ideal partner for a sustainable future.
“The expertise and passion that Dr Mandy Glew and JehanZeb Noor bring to MPE will be instrumental in achieving these goals.”
Paulo Sousa, MPE president, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of a unified industry approach to position rigid metal packaging as a leading force in the EU Circular Economy and as the preferred sustainable packaging choice.
Dr Mandy Glew said, “It was an honour to speak at Metal Packaging Europe’s AGM conference, in my new role as president for EMEA and Asia at Ball Corporation. As the metal packaging industry strives for circularity and decarbonisation, associations like MPE play a key role in bringing the right stakeholders together to foster collaboration across the value chain. I look forward to building on Ball’s ongoing support of the European metal packaging industry as vice-chair of MPE.”
JehanZeb Noor added, “I am eager to work with industry players to shape the future of metal packaging and tackle the short-term challenges we face. Together, we can
accelerate sustainability and take our industry to the next level of performance.”
