LC Packaging has announced the release of its 2024 Sustainability Update, which highlights progress the business has made in its environmental and social responsibility goals.
The company confirmed it has increased the percentage of key production partners’ employees earning a living wage from 37% in 2022 to 42.7% in 2024.
LC Packaging’s turnover from circular economy packaging has grown from 15% in 2022 to 23% in 2024, reflecting the firm’s efforts to innovate and promote sustainable packaging solutions.
The business has also reported ‘remarkable’ strides in reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain, achieving a reduction of 20.6% in 2024, up from 5.4% in 2022.
For the fourth consecutive year, LC Packaging was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Rating in recognition of excellence in sustainability and ethical business practices. The business also continues to make direct contributions to four of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, with indirectly impacts on an additional 13.
