FALCONER Print & Packaging has invested in a new Speedmaster XL75-6+L mixed operation press.
The machine is tipped to ‘significantly’ improve lead-times and offer greater flexibility. The company hopes to gain the benefits of quicker makereadies and greater colour control.
“We looked at various manufacturers, but as a current Heidelberg user we already knew the capabilities of their presses and excellent backup service,” said MD Richard Martin. “With this investment, Falconer Print & Packaging continues its drive to be one of the leading companies in the sector.”
The specification of the new press will allow Falconer Print & Packaging to have mixed operation, allowing the business to run both UV and conventional inks and varnishes.
“We are delighted that Falconer Print & Packaging chose Heidelberg as their business partner for this investment, which is testament to the strong working relationship, in both sales and post sales service and backup, we have both enjoyed and benefited from,” added Phil Buttress, head of sales for Heidelberg UK & Ireland. “The investment in the latest generation Speedmaster XL75-6+L, with Axis control, Autoplate and Intelliline options, will be a superb fit for the business and offer technological advantages in this sector.
“The Speedmaster XL75 provides maximum flexibility thanks to the extensive configuration options for the most demanding requirements in the packaging market. We are certain that the new investment will help Falconer Print & Packaging to achieve significant growth and reach new heights of productivity.”
