GLASS packaging manufacturer Beatson Clark has announced it has bolstered its sales team with two new hires and three internal promotions.
Steve Moffatt has been appointed southern key account manager, while Darren Oakes takes up the role of northern key account manager.
Steve has previously worked as a sales manager in the packaging industry, looking after a range of accounts in the food, pet and medical sectors. “I had heard of Beatson Clark before I decided to move to the company,” he said. “During my research I was impressed by the fact that many of the employees were long-standing and the name Beatson Clark is held in high esteem within the sector.
“It was also important to me that the production is done on site in the UK so I can go into the factory and watch the glass being produced at any time. I’m looking forward to working closely with my account base, getting to know key contacts and identifying new opportunities.”
Darren has worked within several sectors of the packaging industry for over 25 years and was previously with a glass manufacturer that specialised in the premium spirits sector. He added, “I sold Beatson Clark products for many years when I was working for one of its sister companies within the Newship Group. My main responsibility at the company now is to work across key accounts and ensure good, strong relationships.
“Since joining the company I have been made to feel welcome and I am looking forward to becoming a key and positive member of the sales department.”
They will join Siobhan Branagan, newly promoted key account manager for the Midlands, who is looking after Beatson Clark’s largest pharmaceutical account and also its biggest food filler. Jan-Willem Ridt continues as export manager dealing with global sales, while Stephen Reyes continues in the role of UK business development manager.
Two other members of the sales team have also been promoted. Aaron Broadley will run the sales team as UK sales manager after eight years at the company and Dawn Pugh, who has worked in the sales department for over 15 years, is now leading the team as sales and marketing director.
“Our new hires and internal promotions will strengthen our team and their combined experience will enable us to continue to add real value throughout the supply chain,” Dawn said. “As the only independent UK glassworks we pride ourselves on customer service and these changes mean we can focus on new markets and expanding our offering, whilst maintaining the excellent relationships we have with our customers.”
