ULMA Packaging has announced the retirement of Dave Berriman after a career at the firm spanning 31 years.
Dave is stepping down from his dual role as technical sales support manager and product manager for the HFFS line.
His journey in the industry began at Adpak/Wrapid, where he was a technical manager, before ULMA opened its UK subsidiary in 2002. Known for his ‘innovative approach and calm manner’, ULMA said Dave has been instrumental in maintaining the company’s standards and competitive edge over the years.
Among his achievements is pioneering the use of trayless mince in flow wrappers – a practice that has since become revolutionary in the industry.
As Dave embarks on this new chapter, he plans to devote time to his family and pursue his passions for golf and supporting Leeds United, where he was recently treated to a surprise farewell party during a home game at Elland Road.
James Couldwell, ULMA Packaging’s MD, said, “Dave has made a huge contribution to the success and growth of ULMA and we will miss his energy, enthusiasm and problem-solving abilities. His retirement is well deserved, and we wish him a long and happy one.”
