Macfarlane Packaging confirms new automation agreement with Lantech

MACFARLANE Packaging has announced a new automation distributor agreement with US-based Lantech.

In the 1970s, Lantech invented the first stretch wrapper, which was developed to safely palletise and ship products. Macfarlane said that, over the past 50 years, Lantech has become the ‘leader’ in further developing stretch wrapping and packaging containment technology.

The new agreement will see Macfarlane offer Lantech stretch wrapping, case erecting and case sealing equipment to customers as part of a packaging automation proposition.

Chris Machin, head of category for Macfarlane, said, “Working with Lantech to extend our automation offering allows us to provide our customers with pallet wrappers, case erectors and case sealers that deliver exceptional performance. The agreement further complements our already comprehensive range of automation solutions and enables us to support our customers in building resilient and sustainable supply chains.”

Kieran Ford, international sales manager for Lantech, added, “It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce our distributor agreement with Macfarlane Packaging. Both organisations are leaders in our field and have a strong history of working with customers who need the right long-term, solutions. With a wealth of knowledge, plus their Innovation Labs, Macfarlane Packaging is an ideal partner and we are excited about what the future holds.”
