THE winners of the 2024 Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) Awards have been announced at a ceremony in Brighton.
More than 450 FPA members and their guests attended the event, hosted by political satirist Rory Bremner. All winners were presented with an FPA trophy and runners-up and finalists received a certificate.
“The standard of entries was exceptional this year and we were hugely encouraged by the innovation on display”, said FPA executive chairman Mark Byrne. “The competition was fierce so many congratulations to all our winners and to the runners-up and finalists too.”
Colpac CEO Neil Goldman was the recipient of the Chairman’s Award for his dedicated service to the FPA and the foodservice packaging industry. Neil has led Colpac since the 1980s. “I had no hesitation in selecting Neil to be the recipient of my very first Chairman’s Award as the FPA’s new executive chairman,” said Mark Byrne of Sabert. “Neil is a hugely inspirational character and I have looked up to him for many years. Colpac is local to where I grew up, and not only have I watched the company innovate and grow under his leadership, but I have witnessed first-hand the enormous contribution he makes to the foodservice packaging industry as a whole.”
Neil Goldman added, “I am very happy to work in the food packaging industry which is fascinating on many levels. We have a wonderful team of creative individuals helping to bring the company to the next level. Many thanks to the FPA for this award.”
