SIG has been awarded the highest platinum sustainability status in the EcoVadis rating for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the fifth year in a row.
The platinum rating puts SIG in the top 1% of participating companies. The assessment process is designed to improve transparency and promote continuous improvement on sustainability in the supply chain, enabling customers to monitor performance and identify high performing partners.
SIG first achieved its top EcoVadis percentile position in 2017 and since then the company has continued to improve its overall score, driving progress towards its net-positive ambition.
Dr Christian Bauer, head of environmental sustainability at SIG, said, “It’s a great honour for us to receive this recognition once again from a highly recognised independent body. For the fifth year running, this platinum award is a testimony to our responsible culture and unwavering commitment to sustainability.
“This top accolade puts SIG amongst the world’s leading companies in terms of sustainability performance and motivates us to stretch further than we have ever gone on our roadmap for better.”
