CONTRACT packing specialist WePack has announced a new partnership with software provider Nulogy at Packaging Innovations & Empack 2024.
The business recognised the need for a digital solution to enhance its agility and responsiveness and opted for Nulogy’s Shop Floor Solution. Tailored specifically for the procedures of contract packing, Nulogy revealed it was seen as ‘essential’ to meet the demands from brands as they increasingly rely on external partners for ‘high-quality, innovative and cost-effective’ product delivery.
WePack works with brands across the food, cosmetics, high-end consumer goods and agriculture sectors. The firm offers a range of services including bottling, sachet and pouch filling, hand assembly projects, rework and rectification services.
Packaging Innovations & Empack 2024 provided the ideal stage for both WePack and Nulogy, with Josephine Coombe (chief commercial officer for Nulogy in Europe) and Mick Clark (MD at WePack) on hand to announce the new partnership.
Mick Clark said, “We are delighted to announce our partnership today with Nulogy at this leading industry event. At WePack providing consistent, high-quality service is at the core of our philosophy, and embracing digitalisation is crucial to ensure we maintain our edge in a constantly evolving co-packing landscape.
“Nulogy’s Shop Floor Solution provides us with invaluable real-time visibility and traceability into our production and warehouse activities and gives us the power to scale our operations and continue to deliver the exceptional service our customers know us for.”
WePack will use Nulogy to digitalise its end-to-end contract packing workflows, providing heightened visibility and traceability over inventory and materials, whilst improving forecasting, labour capacity, line efficiency and quality control. The project begins in March with training and full implementation at WePack’s production site in Derbyshire scheduled to be completed in Q2.
Packaging Innovations & Empack 2024 has also seen headline sponsor Nulogy launch its new ‘Essential Package’ – a solution tailored for smaller contract packing operations. The firm explained that costing, production and warehouse management modules can all be implemented in just 15 days.
Josephine Coombe said, “We are thrilled that WePack has chosen Nulogy for its contract packing software and welcome them to our growing number of UK partners who are embracing digitalisation. Being ‘Powered by Nulogy’ represents a strong competitive advantage in the market as brands demand higher quality service, better traceability and more responsive service from today’s contract packers and manufacturers.”
