PACKAGING solutions provider Selig Group has announced that Shaz Rashid has assumed the role of VP and general manager, EMEIA.
The group’s executive VP and general manager, EMEIA Geoff Lu will be retiring on June 1 and is supporting a ‘smooth’ leadership transition. Mr Rashid’s appointment has been described as part of a managed executive transition coordinated by Geoff Lu and Adam Sheridan, Selig’s president, over the past few years.
In over a decade with the business, Selig said Mr Lu has strengthened the EMEIA business unit to deliver differentiated products and ‘best-in-class’ quality, service, and delivery to its customers.
Mr Rashid comes to Selig Group from Briar Chemicals, a global contract manufacturer serving the agrochemical sector, where he was the CEO. Prior to Briar, Mr Rashid spent over 12 years with Synthomer Plc, a supplier of specialised chemicals, where he was MD Middle East, Africa, and Americas. Mr Rashid is a graduate of the University of Birmingham.
