BCMPA to help event visitors find trusted outsourcing partners

THE BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – has revealed it will be helping visitors to find their ‘perfect’ outsourcing partner from its 200-plus membership at this year’s Contract Pack & Fulfilment Show.

The event will be held on February 21 and 22 as part of Packaging Innovations & Empack at the NEC Birmingham.

With collaboration described as a key theme for outsourcing success, the BCMPA’s hospitality lounge will be a focus for retailers, brand owners and entrepreneurs looking for third-party manufacturers, packers and fulfilment partners to take their products to market.

Over 24 members are exhibiting at this year’s show, covering a range of sectors including food & drink, nutraceuticals, personal care, household chemicals, general co-packing, gift packing, and e-commerce and fulfilment sectors.

The BCMPA said the ‘disruption’ in the supply chain over the past few years has confirmed the reliance by brand owners on outsourced third-party manufacturers, packers, fulfilment and logistics suppliers. From new product development, pack design, filling, contract packing and white/private label products, through to storage and e-commerce and fulfilment services for those customers requiring a one-stop shop, members will be on hand to provide solutions.

Guests will also be able to watch a live demonstration on the BCMPA hospitality stand in the afternoon on both days, showing the association’s online search facility and explaining how to find outsourcing partners.

BCMPA CEO Emma Verkaik is contributing to a speaker panel in a session titled ‘The Value of Collaboration as an External Supply Chain Partner’, alongside Thomas Verbeke from Danone, and Michael Briggs of Marsden Packaging. Taking place on the second day of the show, the panel, moderated by software provider Nulogy’s chief commercial officer Josephine Coombe, will showcase the benefits of partnerships in the external supply chain and discuss ways collaboration remains key to the success for brands and retailers.

Emma Verkaik said, “Collaboration is at the heart of what we do at the BCMPA, and the Contract Pack and Fulfilment Show at Packaging Innovations & Empack is the ideal platform for us to share the extensive knowledge and expertise of our members. From sourcing and packing to the quality accreditations required to deliver goods, visitors can find the perfect partner to allow them to focus on building their brands and selling their products whilst leaving the day-to-day operational issues to the experts.”
