Antalis signs binding agreement to acquire Pakella

ANTALIS has announced it has signed a binding agreement to acquire Pakella, a specialist in the distribution and manufacturing of industrial and food packaging in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

Pakella, founded in 1996, had a €15 million turnover in 2023 and has 60 employees across three distribution sites.

The agreement is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions including the approval of the Latvian competition authority.

Following the acquisition of Portuguese company 100 Metros at the beginning of 2024, Antalis said Pakella will strengthen the company’s offering in the industrial and food packaging market in the Baltic countries.

Hervé Poncin, CEO of Antalis, said, “The acquisition of Pakella is a great opportunity. It will enable Antalis to significantly expand its existing packaging distribution business in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. It demonstrates the ongoing commitment to our customers in the Baltic countries following our acquisition of Hansapakend in Estonia in 2015.”

Janis Murmanis, member of the board of directors at Pakella, added, “By joining Antalis, Pakella will be able to broaden its product portfolio and continue its development thanks to a wider product range and new international customers.”
