Antalis boosts international expansion plans with new acquisition

ANTALIS has completed the acquisition of Portuguese packaging distribution specialist 100 metros.

The firm specialises in the distribution and converting of packaging materials and components. With consolidated sales of 13 million euros in 2023 and 80 employees, 100 metros operates out of Pacos Ferreira and Lisbon.

Founded in 2000, 100 metros is involved in the design and transformation of customised and bespoke industrial packaging. Cardboard, film, foam and bubble wrap are key elements of the business, which also boasts an in-house personalisation offer.

The move follows recent Antalis acquisitions of Cohal, Garalmi and Gosuma in Spain.

Hervé Poncin, CEO of Antalis, said, “100 metros is a tremendous opportunity thanks to its know-how in packaging converting and custom packaging development. As a leading packaging distributor, Antalis aims to strengthen its global presence in order to offer the best products and services to its customers.”

Duarte Manuel Barros Dias, founder and president of 100 metros, added, “By joining Antalis, 100 metros will be able to broaden its product and customer portfolio and pursue its development in Europe thanks to an expanded product range and new international customers.”
