LOMA Systems has hailed the impact the firm’s training academy has had in its first year.
Offering specialised content tailored to individual business needs and compliance with retailer Codes of Practice (COP), Loma product trainers have trained some 664 delegates over 166 courses this year.
Since opening earlier this year, the academy has received exceptional reviews, with 9 out of 10 delegates rating their training experience as ‘very satisfied’.
James O’Brien, British Bakels’ area reliability engineer, said, “The training our operatives have received from Loma has already paid off and has reduced the workload on our engineering team. We have seen a reduction in false rejects and will be arranging more training with Loma next year.
“My thanks goes to Loma for the training; not only has it given the engineers a lot more knowledge on the machinery that they were all unfamiliar with, but it has also helped the operators have a very good understanding of the machine as well. They are now confident in operating the machinery, and also understand the principles of metal detection and checkweighing.”
Carl Wilkinson, Loma’s aftermarket service manager, added, “We are thrilled to see the impact our training academy is having in the industry. If you are looking to improve your performance, productivity and increase revenue by reducing unnecessary product rejects then our courses can help with this. The positive feedback and success stories from our clients like British Bakels motivate us to keep improving and expanding our courses.”
