A Leeds-based printed packaging manufacturer has celebrated its 85th year in operation by launching what it says is the first UK plastic-free blister pack.
The launch from Facer comes as the business looks to embrace its heritage and innovation in equal measure.
Luke Wilson, MD of the Facer, explained, “I often describe Facer as an 85 year old start-up. Being young at heart is just as important for a business as it is for a person. When you’re young at heart, you’re more open. Open to new opportunities, open to learn, open to change, open to grow.”
Facer added that such openness led to the creation of the plastic-free blister pack. Furthermore, it explained that its ability to combine innovative packaging solutions and impactful print and print finishing techniques, has seen brands make the swap with ease.
