Smurfit Kappa earns spot on TIME’s ‘World’s Best Companies’ list

SMURFIT Kappa has been named in TIME’s ‘World’s Best Companies’ list and Sustainability Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Companies’ list.

The firm said the two global recognitions underscore the company’s ‘unwavering commitment’ to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and corporate stewardship.

The packaging giant has earned a spot in TIME and market research company Statista’s ‘World’s Best Companies’ list, an independent acknowledgment of achievements in employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and sustainability. Smurfit Kappa’s inclusion is based on scores across employee survey results, revenue growth, and data points related to all three dimensions of ESG.

The Top 100 Sustainable Companies list, compiled annually by Sustainability Magazine, recognises companies that have shown ‘exemplary’ dedication to sustainable business practices, environmental conservation, and social responsibility. As the only corrugated packaging firm to be listed, Smurfit Kappa said this achievement demonstrates how the company is driving change across the packaging sector.

Garrett Quinn, chief sustainability officer at Smurfit Kappa, said, “We are proud of this dual recognition and to sit amongst global leaders in sustainable business and performance. Sustainability is core to everything we think and do, driving long-term value for all our stakeholders. As a ‘World’s Best Company’, we are committed to doing the right thing for our people, our communities and our environment, through products and processes that make a real difference for our customers and across our entire value chain.”
