THE IMA ILAPAK Vegatronic 2000 ML will make its UK debut at next month’s PPMA Show at the Birmingham NEC.
Boasting a ‘sanitary design, great accessibility and a variety of pack styles, including Doy-style pouches’, the manufacturer explained the machine is aimed at the IQF food, produce and dairy markets.
The Vegatronic 2000 ML has been designed with fewer added-value features than other machines in the Vegatronic range. This is to ensure the machine is affordable for food manufacturers under pressure from retailers to minimise costs during a period of high inflation.
Tony McDonald, Ilapak Ltd’s sales and marketing director, said, “This year in response to UK market demand we are exhibiting machines that help our customers reduce their operating costs with machines that provide lowest cost of ownership and lowest cost per pack. We are also helping ensure they are well placed to meet growing hygiene pressures with easy access to all machine components, which facilitate easier monitoring and cleaning.”
The Vegatronic 2000 ML will be joined on the stand by the Delta Flobag, whilst IMA Ilapak’s Carrera I-500 flow wrapper will be on display in the PPMA foyer.
The Delta Flobag is designed for shrink and vacuum processed meat and cheese. The machine can operate in ‘harsh’ production and wash-down environments both as a stand-alone long-dwell flow wrapping machine and also integrated in a full production line.
The Carrera I-500 is an entry level flow wrapper said to offer ‘robust and ergonomic’ architecture, balcony style design and extended film and product size range capacity. It can run at linear speeds of 40+m/min and described as ‘ideal’ for fresh and frozen applications such as baked goods, snacks, ready meals, cheese, meat, proteins and non-food products.
