THREE key products from Ishida Europe’s weighing and inspection portfolio will take centre stage on the manufacturer’s stand at PPMA Show 2023.
The recently-launched next generation CCW-AS multihead weigher, Fresh Food Weigher (FFW) and advanced entry-level IX-EN X-ray inspection system will be highlighted at the event, which takes place next month at the Birmingham NEC.
All three products are said to demonstrate Ishida’s ability to help businesses tackle a myriad of challenges including food safety, labour shortages, and demands to meet ever-higher expectations of customers.
The CCW-AS range, launched in 2022, is said to deliver ‘significant’ increases in productivity, ‘enhanced’ hygienic design and ‘maximum profitability’ in highly competitive markets. Ishida described the AS weigher as offering the highest weighing performance to further increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), particularly for more challenging applications. At the same time, it delivers a 20% reduction in energy consumption compared to previous models while noise levels have also been reduced.
The six-head Ishida FFW, meanwhile, is designed to enable sticky and bruise-sensitive fresh products to be weighed and packed at ‘maximum speed and efficiency’. The weigher receives product to the top of the weigher, where operators evenly distribute it via belt feeders to the weigh hoppers. Ishida added that the ergonomic design makes it easy to spread out products on the feeder table, and the belt feeders facilitate a ‘precise and consistent’ product feed to the hoppers. Features such as scraper hopper gates, ribbed surfaces and scraper gates on the collection belt conveyors have been included to minimise product sticking.
The IX-EN-4093-S X-ray inspection system offers manufactures an ‘affordable but highly accurate’ entry-level solution, Ishida explained. The machine can spot a variety of contaminants including aluminium, tin, glass, stone, hard rubber, dense plastic, Teflon, PVC, bones and shells.
The IX-EN range incorporate the company’s advanced Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology that enables operators to optimise individual models for greater sensitivity to specific foreign bodies. The IX-EN-4093-S can also identify damaged and missing products or components.
Paul Hitchin, general sales manager of Ishida Europe, said, “Ishida solutions are your ultimate partner in overcoming production challenges. Our cutting-edge products are engineered to drive efficiency, maximise profits and ensure uncompromising quality. At the PPMA Show, visitors to our stand will be able to experience the future of weighing and inspection firsthand.”
