FINISHING equipment manufacturer A B Graphic International is marking a milestone after selling its 2,500th Vectra turret rewinder.
500 rewinders have been installed in the last three years alone. Since its inception in 1995, ABG said Vectra has become the preferred choice for numerous self-adhesive label manufacturers.
ABG’s Vectra turret rewinders comprise three models: the entry-level ECTR, the 4-spindle HDTR, and the SGTR Autoset.
The rewinders are designed to allow ‘seamless’ in-line or stand-alone operation with a separate unwind module. They can be used across a range of substrates including delicate, perforated, or punched products. ABG offers customisable options to tailor Vectra rewinders to individual needs.
ABG’s Vectra models, currently manufactured at the company’s Middleton on the Wolds site, are set to relocate to a new 40,000 sq ft facility in Kelleythorpe, near its Bridlington HQ. This, the business explained, will enable increased production capacity and shorter lead times.
Coinciding with this relocation is the launch of a new Vectra model at Labelexpo Europe 2023, where ABG will introduce the next generation of automated turret rewinders. These models will be available in hot melt glue (Vectra G) and glueless (Vectra) variants.
