A recyclable solution for chilled meals and food-to-go outlets has been launched by Sabert Corporation Europe.
The Snap2Go tray is described as refrigerator-friendly and multi-functional, with a ‘snug’ clip-lid making it a suitable choice for food-to-go applications such as salads and chilled meals. Sabert said the ‘space-saving design and rigid construction’ means it is both stackable and nestable.
“We are sure that the sleek design and innovative clip-lid fit of our new paper Snap2Go range will surprise many people,” explained Sabert’s UK&I sales manager Clive Pickerill. “The Snap2Go tray combines an aesthetic and minimal design with maximum functionality, plus great visibility thanks to its innovative clear rPET lid.”
The anti-fog rPET clip-lid protects food, while offering one-hand closing. It fastens to internal tabs, locking into place with one push and click. Sabert added that the product is also leak, moisture and grease resistant thanks to a webbed-corner design.
Snap2Go is available in four sizes: 375ml, 500ml, 750ml and 1000ml – with two rPET clip-lid sizes. Sabert also offers bespoke designs and sizes with customisable print available.
Made in Europe, each tray carries the printed sustainability message: “Let’s meet again. Recycle me”.
The base is recyclable board made from FSC-certified paper, while the recyclable 100% rPET clip-lid is made from high grade, post-consumer PET bottle flakes.
