CORRUGATED packaging specialist Boxshop has revealed that its £3.5 million investment programme is almost complete.
The East Kilbride-based business embarked on the investment to future-proof the business and support Scottish businesses with the full range of corrugated solutions.
“This has been a hugely important time in the history of Boxshop as we have remodelled the business to increase capacity and capability,” said MD Jennifer Riddell. “The delivery of a new Bobst Expertflex six-colour high quality post printer will allow us to diversify our range of skills and expand our skill set to support our customers and the ever increasing demand for corrugated boxes and packaging.”
As part of the investment, carried out over an 18-month period, new CAD and design facilities have been established, a designated case making operation created, as well as other machinery and equipment investment coupled with the introduction of solar panels on the roof to increase the businesses’ environmental credentials.
“As full production gets underway in the coming weeks, as our team members complete their training, we and our customers will be able to reap the full benefits of our investments,” Jennifer added. “Now we’re looking forward to working with existing and new customers to showcase the versatility and flexibility of corrugated as an environmentally responsible packaging product.”
