Stage is set for CCE International

FINAL preparations are underway for the 6th edition of CCE International, which takes place from March 14-16 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany.

The corrugated, cardboard and printing community will gather to explore new technologies in corrugated and folding carton production. The show features a series of Open Seminars, complemented by the newly integrated InPrint Munich event brand with its conference programme on industrial printing. CCE International is co-located to converting exhibition ICE Europe.

CCE International has made its name as a specialised marketplace where industry professionals look for bespoke machinery, raw materials, accessories and services for the production and conversion of corrugated, cardboard and paper.

The advent of fit-to-product or box-on-demand systems are said to have opened up new opportunities for corrugated board suppliers. Advanced digital printing continues to be a major trend, allowing for high-quality branding, customisation and added functionality of primary and secondary packaging, such as QR codes, temperature sensors or interactive advertising through augmented reality.

“Increasing preferences for economical, sustainable and smart packaging remain major growth factors for cartonboard packaging,” said Patrick Herman, event director of the converting, paper and print events, on behalf of RX. “In this highly dynamic market, CCE International plays an important role in helping buyers engage with innovation by facilitating live demonstrations, networking, and the sharing of professional expertise. Industry professionals can liaise directly with leading tech suppliers to discuss and develop individual production solutions together.”

Exhibits at the three-day event cover the entire production and processing chain of corrugated and folding carton, including: converting and corrugating machinery and components, consumables, design and CAD/CAM, printing machinery, cutting, creasing and die-cutting equipment, materials handling and warehousing, pallet handling, MIS and plant scheduling systems, waste extraction and baling.

The CCE Open Seminar Sessions feature technical talks on the latest trends and developments. This year’s topics include: corrugated e-commerce packaging, retail-ready microflute solutions, advanced digital cutting and creasing, short run box production, digital manufacturing, corrugator moisture control, no-nick die-cutting, warehouse retrofitting and energy-regeneration, and client data management.
