COLPAC’S ESG manager Talia Goldman has received the Rising Star Award from the FPA.
The accolade recognises young people who have shown exceptional promise and talent within the foodservice packaging industry.
Talia was nominated for driving change at Colpac and taking on an increasing amount of responsibility within the business. Starting as the company’s CSER officer, before progressing to sustainability lead, Colpac said Talia was ‘instrumental’ in identifying the need for a broader ESG manager role to unify and strengthen its proposition.
Since starting the role in January 2022, Talia has been delivering projects including Colpac’s first consolidated ESG plan and enabling the business to calculate its carbon footprint for the first time, all with the aim of delivering a net zero strategy by the end of 2023.
HR director Susie Deiana said, “Her determination and ability to progress change internally and maintain strong connections with national and global change is a real asset to the business. Whether it be at industry events or at our site in Flitwick, she is a strong voice and excellent advocate for raising our game on sustainability, nature, and climate.”
