Arsenal on the Ball when it comes to recycling

ARSENAL Football Club and Ball Corporation have teamed up to celebrate Global Recycling Day.

It comes in the latest instalment of their social media content series which celebrates sustainability and community, whilst also highlighting that good things happen when you recycle.

In the episode, Arsenal stars Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, and Matt Turner surprise five recycling champions from a local north London school at the Colney Training Centre in this year’s Premier League Inspires challenge.

The 12-year-old Gooners caught the attention following their ideas for a social media campaign to activate recycling among Arsenal supporters with an interactive game that teaches what can and can’t be recycled.

After being given a tour of the current English Premier League leader’s training ground, the girls are then surprised by the appearance of the three Arsenal players alongside team mascot, Gunnersaurus.

As well as posing questions to the players, the five young participants also got to compete in a series of recycling knowledge questions and football skills games with the players.

Marcel Arsand, director of sustainability and public affairs at Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA, said, “Arsenal shares our commitment to sustainability and recycling, and we are delighted to partner with such an iconic global brand to share our message that good things happen when we recycle.”
