LILT has been relaunched under the Fanta brand with the drink’s packaging featuring a new logo and graphic paying homage to the product’s roots.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB said that the drink will retain its ‘iconic’ taste under the new moniker, Fanta Pineapple & Grapefruit.
The firm added that some ‘keen’ Lilt fans had already predicted the drink’s move into the Fanta brand, after spotting changes to its packaging and logo – with some going as far to reach out on social media with their theories!
Available from today in both bottles and cans, the bottles feature a blue label with a sliced pineapple and grapefruit and the line ‘same totally tropical taste’, whilst the entirely blue cans showcase the same logo alongside the tag, ‘Lilt new look’.
Martin Attock, VP of commercial development at Coca-Cola Europacifc Partners GB, said, “With Lilt’s punchy taste profile and distinctive fruity flavour, it fits perfectly within the expanding Fanta portfolio, a brand that is the no.1 flavoured carbonate in GB. Our main priority with this announcement is to reassure Lilt’s loyal fan base that absolutely nothing has changed when it comes to the iconic taste of the drink they know and love. It’s still bursting with tangy tropical flavours. It’s just got itself a new name.
“Already the No.2 tropical soft drink in GB worth £15 million and growing by 5% over the last year, we’re confident that it’s addition to the Fanta line up will help to drive future growth.”
