FILTRONA Tapes, the new name for Essentra Tapes, is set to showcase the ‘jewel in the crown’ of its ECO range at the upcoming Packaging Innovations event at the NEC Birmingham.
Rippatape Halo, described as a ‘breakthrough solution’ will be displayed as one of the Innovation Gallery top 10 winners on the 15 & 16 February.
The product is targeted at the e-commerce market. As the first paper tape of its kind in the Filtrona Tapes ECO Range, it is externally certified as recyclable with paper achieving an A+ level via the Italian National Recyclability Standard: UNI 11743 and MC 501: 2017 criteria.
Boasting a tearing performance comparable to the firm’s Rippatape 60 solution, Rippatape Halo is said to not compromise on the easy opening credentials of its plastic alternative.
“We can all agree that the most important innovations in the packaging industry today are those which are going to push forward the sustainability agenda,” said Filtrona Tapes’ head of marketing & development, Ian Beresford. “E-commerce’s rapid and vast expansion presents new challenges in shipping and packaging.
“This is the perfect platform to showcase Rippatape Halo and our expanding ECO Range and we are thrilled it has been selected as one of the top 10 products in the Innovation gallery.”
