Xampla confirms double appointment in response to materials demand

Hannah Pearse

XAMPLA has bolstered its food and drink expertise with two new hires to support the development of its applications, including spray coatings.

Hannah Pearse joins the team as nutrition business manager, while Agnieszka Mizgier has been appointed quality and food safety manager.

Xampla said the hires have been made in response to increased demand from the food and beverage industry for the firm’s materials.

Hannah Pearse brings more than 14 years’ experience in nutrition, product technology and partnership development at companies including Nestlé and Sainsburys. In her new role, Xampla said she will engage key figures in the food and beverage industry for the company’s nutrition, edible films and packaging applications.

Agnieszka Mizgier joins from Camstar Ingredients, where she served as key contact for all customers and external regulatory bodies, including trading standards. She will lead technical developments of quality and food safety processes, working with suppliers for new product approvals.

The hires join Xampla following product launches with meal kit company Gousto and soft drink retailer Britvic and a host of industry award wins in 2022.

Pete Hutton, executive chair of Xampla, said, “We are proud to welcome Hannah and Agnieszka to Xampla, and look forward to benefiting from their wealth of industry knowledge and experience. Following our successful launches in 2022 with Gousto and Britvic, and the launch of our films and microcapsules, we look forward to announcing further industry partnerships this year.”

Hannah Pearse added, “This is a great time to join such a successful team. What is special about Xampla is the way the company works with its customers and potential customers to ensure our materials can ‘drop-in’ to existing production lines and processes. That is the route to really fast and substantial scaling of our model.”
