MANINA Kettler has been promoted to the role of chief financial officer (CFO) at weighing and inspection technology specialist Minebea Intec.
The manufacturer’s former financial controller will be responsible for accounting, controlling treasury, IT and administration. Most recently, the management of these departments lay directly with CEO Hidenori Shimosako.
In her new role, Manina will be in charge of budgeting, reporting, contracts, insurance, cash flow planning, and IT strategy, among other things. She sees potential for Minebea Intec to become even more efficient in process optimisation and digitalisation within the finance department.
“We have already seen initial success with automated invoice and travel expense processing,” she explained. “One of our next projects will be controlling day-by-day reporting for our business partners in an automated way.”
Manina is the first woman to serve in senior management at the company. “I can only advise every female colleague to believe in her own strengths,” she added. “Those who prove themselves time and again and also specifically demand more responsibility will be successful at Minebea Intec.”
After completing her dual business studies at the Volkswagen Group, Manina held various positions as a financial controller in the food and service industries before starting in controlling for Minebea Intec’s Aachen site in 2013. In 2018, she took on her first management position as accounting director at the HQ in Hamburg, followed by controlling in 2019. Since 2021, Manina has been deputy CFO. “I am very much looking forward to the new task,” she said. “I want to dovetail the individual departments even more and promote co-operation. For me, that is the key to success.”
